What the DM MCP Server does
Model Context Protocol (MCP) is a standard way for an AI client to discover and call tools supplied by an external service. The DM MCP Server packages authorized DrillingMetrics lookups as tools, so the client can request drilling context without direct database access or knowledge of internal routes.
- Retrieve active-well status, depths, rig states, KPIs, and detected events.
- Review offset performance, BHAs, surveys, reports, engineering models, and historical results.
- Return authorized dashboard links while keeping route selection and access checks inside DrillingMetrics.
Use it in the AI client or application you already use
Connect the DM MCP Server to an MCP-compatible ChatGPT or Claude experience, or use it programmatically from an application, agent, or workflow that supports MCP. The use cases are open-ended, while authentication and available tools remain controlled by the DrillingMetrics deployment.
